Climate Commitment
Aquarius Energy Limited, a leading retail organisation employing over 250 people across Jersey, commits to achieving carbon neutrality by March 2026. As a major retailer serving the Channel Islands community, we recognise our responsibility to drive meaningful environmental change through sustainable business practices. Our operations will transition to 100% renewable energy sources across all retail locations and our St Helier headquarters by December 2025. We will eliminate single-use plastics from our supply chain and implement a comprehensive waste reduction programme, targeting 75% waste diversion from landfill through recycling and circular economy initiatives. We commit to reducing our carbon emissions by 50% within two years through energy-efficient lighting, smart heating systems, and sustainable transport solutions for our delivery fleet. Our environmental targets include sourcing 80% of products from certified sustainable suppliers and achieving zero packaging waste to landfill by 2026. Every employee will receive sustainability training, and we will establish green teams across all departments to drive innovation and accountability. We will work exclusively with local suppliers who demonstrate strong environmental credentials, supporting Jersey's transition to a sustainable economy whilst creating green jobs in our community. Our board will establish a Sustainability Committee to oversee progress, with quarterly public reporting on our environmental performance. We will engage independent auditors to verify our achievements and maintain transparency with our stakeholders throughout this journey.
