Climate Commitment
At Oil Ltd, we acknowledge our pivotal role in shaping a sustainable future within the Energy & Utilities sector. Under the leadership of our C-Level executives, including CTO, COO, and CFO, we are making a public commitment to drastically reduce our impact on the environment. By December 30, 2030, we pledge to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions by 50%, aligning our operations with global climate targets and the Paris Agreement.
To achieve this ambitious goal, we will transition towards renewable energy sources, ensuring that at least 40% of our energy consumption will come from wind, solar, and other sustainable technologies. We are also dedicated to implementing energy-efficient practices across all our facilities, which will enhance operational efficiency while minimizing our environmental footprint.
In addition
To steer Oil Ltd toward a sustainable future and achieve its target date of December 30, 2030, we propose a comprehensive sustainability implementation plan that emphasizes strategic initiatives across various dimensions of the organization’s operations in the Energy & Utilities sector.
First, it is essential to establish science-based targets aligned with the latest climate science.
This requires a baseline emissions assessment, focusing on direct and indirect emissions from operations and value chains.
The goal should be to reduce carbon intensity by a specific percentage annually, inspired by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) guidelines.
